The Sphere application is a live-stitching, monitoring, and configuration tool for Teradek’s 360º streaming device, Sphere.
+ Sphere can stream to any 360º compatible online video platform, including YouTube and Wowza at bit rates up to 15 Mbps. If you sign up for a Teradek Core account, you can push and pull Sphere streams to and from our Teradek Core streaming servers.
+ Sphere is the first iOS monitoring solution for 360º/VR productions, allowing filmmakers to remain out of frame while keeping an eye on every shot. Sphere’s iOS application offers several different ways to view your live 360º content, including Rectilinear, Panoramic, and Little Planet views. You can also use a VR Headset with an iPhone running the Sphere app.
+ Sphere can also do local streaming to other iOS devices on the local network; you can also stream to an Oculus or Vive headset using Teradeks Vive and Oculus Player applications.
+ The Sphere iOS application offers numerous parameters for tweaking your 360º footage to your liking. In addition to multiple lens correction options, you can adjust the image rotation and edge alignment of your stitch from the app’s intuitive UI.
+ Users can calibrate each camera’s white balance, tint, and color profile right from the Sphere application. If you need a quick calibration, the application can color match across all video feeds at the same time to provide a balanced image instantly.
+ Sphere audio configuration includes volume controls, as well as mono, stereo, and spatial stereo setup.
+ The Sphere iOS application allows you to save individual 360º snapshots and your stitched video footage directly to your iPad’s hard drive in MP4 format.
